Introduction

Creation of the perfect restoration in the esthetic zone is a goal of implant therapy today. However, we still fall short in soft and/or hard tissue management especially when treating sites with significant soft and/or hard tissue deformities. This requires site enhancement, minimally invasive surgical techniques and variability in flap design, ideal implant placement and proper suturing techniques.

Intended Learning Objectives

  • How to assess soft and hard tissue and accomplish esthetics outcomes with implant therapy.
  • Various traditional and minimally invasive flap designs for implant therapy; including indications and limitations of each technique.
  • Site Development for Prosthetically-Driven Implant Placement.
  • Surgical techniques required for soft and/or hard tissue augmentation before, during or after surgical implant placement.
  • Effects of implant design, positioning and prosthetic design on the long term esthetic outcomes.
