Introduction

To improve the quality of care provided by oral and maxillofacial surgeons regarding the diagnosis and management of dentofacial deformities.

Intended Learning Objectives

1.Understand the basic principles in the diagnosis of dentofacial deformities.
2.Comprehend the sequence of surgical planning.
3.Appreciate the importance of the multidisciplinary approach for the diagnosis and management of dentofacial deformities.
4.Be aware of the recent advances in prediction planning.

8.30 – 9.00 a.m.: Diagnosis of dentofacial deformities – Prof.Ellis.

9.00 – 9.30 a.m.: Pits and Pearls of the diagnostic process – Prof.Ayoub.

10.00 – 11.00a.m.: Formulating the surgical plan – Prof.Ellis & Prof.Ayoub.

11.00 – 11.30a.m.: Interactive questions and answers.

11.30 – 12.00p.m.: Coffee break.

12.30 – 1.00p.m.: Model surgery and planning for success – Prof.Ellis.

1.00 – 1.30p.m.: Virtual planning and surgical stimulation – Prof.Ayoub.

2.00 – 2.30p.m.: Sequencing of surgery – Prof.Ellis.

2.30 – 3.30p.m.: Lunch.

3.30 – 4.00p.m.: Refinement of the surgical procedures – Prof.Ayoub.
