inadequate post-implant cbct because of metallic artifacts which cbct should i choose
CBCT is used after implant insertion whenever it is essential to evaluate the proximity of the implant to bony plates or to assess possible complications. Metal artifacts produced by dental implants however, play a principal role in the degradation of the image quality. It is important for the implantologist to estimate the artifacts produced by different CBCT machines and accordingly choose to refer and scan his patients using the machine that shows least metal artifact. In this podium talk, you are going to view and assess streak artifacts produced by dental implants imaged by five different CBCT scanners.
