class ii malocclusion from dusk till dawn
Skeletal Class II malocclusions are one of the most frequently encountered malocclusions in the orthodontic practice. They are often the result of protruded maxilla, retruded mandible, or a combination. In growing patients, growth modification is often attempted trying to achieve a harmonious relationship of the two jaws. However, in adult patients with no growth potential, the options are limited to either orthognathic surgery or orthodontic camouflage. Various treatment options for this challenging malocclusion will be presented optimally suited for each age group, highlighting factors to be considered in treatment planning as well as the outcome of the various treatment possibilities.
